"Bubble List" - Who's the 30?

JJLions had a great idea for the guess the roster game that I thought was great.

I'm not sure how you can predict who will make the team before 9 of these kids play their first preseason game, or you can see some of the guys in a zone blocking scheme. But, I have a suggestion. Lets go ahead and make the predictions, and then create a bubble list. There will most likely be a list of 30 players that we can come to a consensus are safe. Then before each cut we get to supply a list of players from the bubble list that we think are safe and why. We do that prior to each cut. The winner is the person who had the least amount of their "safe" players cut. It may be easy for the first cut, but I'll bet there are some surprises. It will also be real interesting when that last cut happens.

The first order of business is to lock in the 30 "safes" before the May 22nd camp, and then each of us can submit our "who will make it from the bubble" list as each cut approaches. Great Idea JJLions!

So which 30 players are a "lock" to make the team? suggestions? Are there 30? Should it be 20 locks?

You can't guarantee anyone is a lock. Just like my 53 man roster is like throwing pudding on a canvass and calling it art. ((I didn't explain how the pudding was placed on the canvass??))

1. Kitna 2. Stanton 3. Orlovsky 4. Smith 5. WR Johnson 6. Williams 7. Backus 8. Mulitalo 9. Raiola 10. Cherilus 11. Redding 12. Fluelling 13. Alama-Francis 14. White 15. Avril 16. Sims 17. Dizon 18. I don't feel comfy even calling Chuck Darby a LOCK with the way things can go in camp. Bell would be close, but he reported overweight, apparently. Peterman is close, but what if he has a bad camp. With more run emphasis, I can see Ramirez getting his chops wet. Lots of good football, yet

Well, thats a lot harder than I thought it would be. How can we sit here and gauge how hard these guys are gonna work in camp and get spots! I really didnt think about it untill I started making my list. I know that we some of the guys that are GIVEN! Its a lot of fun and will be interesting to see who comes the closest. Good luck to everyone

Ok, Here are mine. It was a little difficult to get it down to 30. I had to take K. Smith off the list (since he has not carries the Ball in the NFL. And I took McDonald off, thinking he could still be traded to SF before the season starts. Especially if Millen can get that 4th round pick back.

We'll let DetFan1979 determine who are the safe 30, and it will be fun to see who we all think are the other keepers leading up to the cuts. I imagine there will be somebody in our safe 30 who as it turns out was not save. It's just the unexpected. Kind of like NE taking Mayo.

Interesting thing when I look back at my safe 30 picks, I don't have a RB listed. That's interesting in itself, but it may also be accurate, No may be safe at this point.

I think it interesting that most of us feel McDonald are not in the safe-30. My thought process was he could be traded. I also thought it was interesting that I'm the only one who included Dan Campbell on the Safe-30. This is going to be fun come August.

unless hes hurt worst than i think
MC DONALD is a lock-there not going to dump there most productive receiver- i think they see him like i do better than furry and a good cheaper alternative to roy next year if we have to trade roy cause we cant or dont want to afford him. mc donalds young too-a big plus. no way i see trading him for a 4th rd pick like many of you say we should.
