No real analysis on the schedule from me til I see how teams have shaken out after the ifseason, but you can get a good PDF copy here from NFL.com.

The Lions open in New Orleans and end in Chicago. It appears (because of how the rotation works with division and conference opponents) that the Lions got a tough schedule. They play the NFC West and AFC Central.
As I said at Mlive we will be lucky to win 5 games this year so why not hold off on stafford this year and pick Bradford next we will be picking top 5 again anyway. Just a thought.
I wish I could see more wins it's a possibly but not with a rookie QB if that's the way the Lions go. The defense lost so many games over the last 4-8 years it's not funny.
BUILD THE "D"; RAVEN STYLE. Big, bad, and stock it up. I want Lion attitude. This year, who cares if we lose games, knock the shit out of people. They should fear "Honolulu Blue" like "Carolina Blue" is feared in college b-ball.
The head coach will out-smart teams with a VERY GOOD O/C and veteran QB. After Martz left, the Lions didn't have the brains on offense to scheme. Defense, defense, defense.
The BIG rumor league-wide is Braylon Edwards going to New York Giants. This would allow the Browns to package a first with Derek Anderson and snag a Lions pick?
Awww, Detfan's first super-hater-flame. Brings a tear to my eye! This is a special moment (or just one of his IRL friends being a tool; I know MINE would do that to me if I had a blog. What are friends for, if not to harass you in public?)
After going 0-16, the release of the schedule is pretty unimportant for the Lions, IMHO: it's kind of a non-issue. You can bet that EVERY team that sees the Lions on their calendar this year is automatically chalking that game up as a win, though.
Interesting that someone asking for an apology is the one repeatedly insulting others -- anonymously, I might add.
If you would bother checking the link I posted, you would note that an apology was typed to you, by me, some time ago on Mr. Birkett's blog, along with a clarification of my statements, long before you decided to post here.
The link again: http://davebirkett.blogspot.com/2009/04/schedule-announcement-coming-next.html
By the way, if you have some contructive comments in regards to the Lions, please feel free to leave comments along those lines, and to read this blog.
I will even leave a second apology on my blog as a headline item -- including links and copies of the comments on Mr. Birkett's blob -- as soon as you identify yourself as the person who left the original comment on Mr. Birkett's blog and apologize to him for your snide remarks there.
Feel free to post the link to the story you do so on here, and I will follow through with my end of the deal.
ok, first off i wasn't acting like dave wasn't doing his job. guess i was just trying to validate myself or something with that first comment....
as for the smith or stafford pick guarantee - i really have no idea what they're going to do. many believe that stafford, in his chat today, was dropping not-so-subtle hints that he's already a done deal, but he said on espn that he hasn't talked to the lions about a deal yet [which i don't buy for a second].
as for everything else - my apologies for lashing out when i felt like i was being attacked. it's something i'm working on, believe me. we're all lions fans so there's no reason we should be fighting amongst ourselves.
No hard feelings here at all. We are all passionate about our Lions!
Why not choose a handle and join in? I'm sure you'll have some great insights to add -- and all Lions fans are welcome here. you needn't even sign up for a google handle -- just sign off with it on your posts.
LionsRoar might be a good one, if you don't mind a suggestion but you can choose any one you like.
Look forward to your future additions to the dialogue! And don't worry -- I made this place so Lions fans could be free of the hate, and intelligently discuss our team. We banter back and forth quite often, but it is all for fun -- not to attack.
Yes, I know I deleted a bunch of comments -- but everyone who needed to read them has, so no sense leaving them on the web for all webternity.
Thanks fellows for your great comments as usual on the schedule! I agree that the release of the schedule isn't really huge news as far as analysis goes at this point. I just liked the easy-print PDF to hang on the wall of my office, and figured I would share.
No more schedule talk from me until after the preseason

Sounds like you have a true fan...he didn't leave a name, so I'm guessing you pissed off BVO.

Just food for thought.
