Turkey Game Day: Versus GB

Turkey Game Day: Versus GB

First of all, if you weren’t able to see the game rewind online, or on NFLN this evening, be sure to check out the highlights on NFL.com. Check out the last story comments for a couple of great links — one of them to Stafford as he was mic’d up for sound is just awesome. Beyond amazing! The way he was all about staying postive, and gunning for the win. The NFL Films version is great as well, with some interviews. He will be leading this team and steadying a position that has been nothing but band-aids and mediocrity for too long. One of my favroite lines was how he tapped S. Rogers on the helmet after drawing him offsides and said “you can’t move that much weight early and not get caught – I think they got ya.” Talk about all the grit you need at QB…

Unfortunately, if Stafford – CJ, or Both! don’t play in today’s game, I see little chance of the Lions winning. While the Pack lost Harris and Kampman to injuries — they are still better than Detroit. With no secondary to speak of (with Simpson and Pearson out, Marvin White is starting at S…) Rodgers will carve up the defensive backfield. Were Stafford playing, I would say this ends up another exciting shootout…

If not… well, there always hope for a Turkey Day Miracle, right? Maybe they can just re-broadcast the Lions-Browns game. That was a VERY thrilling game, and it’s not like many people got to watch it in the first place…

Here’s hoping!! I’ll be in honolulu blue, downing egg-nog and cheering for our team. Go Lions!!!

    Good game overall.

Stafford played a decent game for a rookie. The defensive numbers would have been better with more offensive support, especially from the guard positions. We missed Peterman with his first game out.

As I posted last If Season, would have loved to have Raji. Stafford was the right choice thou. The only QB I would have liked in this up coming draft would be Tebow.

This next If Season should be DT Suh, FS Berry, or DE Graham. Need to protect the back side while improving the pass/rush defense along the line. Too many bodies committed to support the front line attack while sacrificing to the mid level coverage.

Could go on, but too early for this type of talk.
