Gameday: Lions at Vikings

Gameday: Lions at Vikings

November 15th, 2009 | by detfan1979 |

If the Lions team that showed up for about a quarter in Seattle shows up for 4 quarters, the Lions get their second win. That is a VERY big IF. Hopefully, the Lions come out with some real intensity, and play a close, competitive game. The defense needs to keep playing above its’ talent level, and the offense needs to play up to its’ talent level. Stafford wasn’t the only QB who blew a good chance for his team to win by throwing 5 picks in the last week — Jay Cutler managed the exact same feat against the 49ers. At least Stafford managed a couple of TD’s, right?

Enjoy the game — once again, due to other obligations I’ll be watching the game on “tape delay”. Post your thoughts and opinions on the game here once again. Go Lions!!!

Well, the defense came out with good intensity but, as usual the offense couldn’t do anything!! Stafford spent most of this game on his BACK! We blows my minid id how many injuries we had in this game. Peternab went down, Manuel, Derrick Williams, Pearson, Joe Cohen and I think there were more but I can;t remember!!! God, BLESS this team to get a win SOMEHOW against Cleveland, I fear its our only other chance to get a win this season!!!!

I got to watch the Lions down here in Kentucky! Too bad their O line was just horribly outclassed. The Lions still need a D line, an O line, and only have Delmas in the secondary (though Buchanon has looked good at times IMHO.)

The Leos need a win versus Cleveland for one reason: to not have to pay Terrence Cody from Alabama a first pick salary after the 2010 draft. Because if he’s on the board when the Lions pick, that’s who they are getting, barring a catastrophic injury or mental meltdown by the guy between now and the draft.

I have yet to watch the game (as I’ll explain in today’s post) and will likely not see it til late this week (if I get a chance to).

I agree the Lions need one, preferrably two more wins to help their draft positioning. Not sure they can get there. Did Delmas play? Thought I saw where he didn’t, but I would be wrong and he may have just missed a practice.
