Roy Gone??

Adam Schefter just reported that Dallas gave a 1st, 3rd, and 6th round choices to Detroit for Roy Williams. If true, look for them to re-sign Standeford would be my guess.

More after I'm able to confirm.

Ridiculous deal for Detroit. Mayhew is doing his best to make a run for the GM job next season by getting this deal done.

The Detroit GM job just got a bit more attractive. The Lions need to stock up on even more draft picks this off-season now to help out the new GM. Possibly trade Redding? Heck, depending on how Stanton/DanO finish out the year, I might be tempted to trade Kitna at year's end too.

this is a pretty good move for everyone involved. Roy deserves a better team. The Lions need draft picks and got great value for Roy.

I'm not sure if Dallas REALLY needed another receiver though. Austin has been stepping up nicely while T.O. was getting blanketed, and witten is always a stud.

Lets all root against Dallas now so the Lions get a better draft pick!

I'm not sure what's up with Kitna's situation. the Lions should at least try to get something for him; I think he's worth more now than he would be at the end of the year.

Redding would be a good person to trade; he's not bad but he's way overpaid.

Mayhew's looking pretty good so far, eh? Good for him. If he doesn't get a shot in town here, he will elsewhere sometime in the future if he keeps up the good work.

1st,3rd, & 6th for Roy and a 7th if you haven't heard already.

Awesome. I think the draft we just had (which was better than most will admit) plus a ton of picks next year with a a new coach and Mayhew(who just earned my vote for the new GM)gives us a Great starting place for a young improving team. My interest in this season has just been renewed.

Good luck Roy. I hope your able to clebrate some first downs in meaningless game in your home town now.
