Unless I take time out of a Saturday to head down there, it's a bit further out of my way than I'd like to go, although definitely an interesting idea.

Maybe next season. I am however, much more exposed to Chicago coverage when it comes to football, so I'll be making sure to pass along any juicy information I hear around here to you guys.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276344251743982154.post-57148233995426760732008-08-06T18:21:00.000-04:002008-08-06T18:21:00.000-04:00Jreffy,Nice job! It may be interesting to compare vs the Bears....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276344251743982154.post-6388828408119129312008-08-06T16:23:00.000-04:002008-08-06T16:23:00.000-04:00Detfan; jreffyIf I were at home (dial-up) I wouldn...Detfan; jreffy

If I were at home (dial-up) I wouldn't be able to see much as my monitor is also dying (color going).

I was at work today when I called up the site. Those pics are great, and you did an awesome job.

It is so awesome to see pro athletes at game speed. Instead of tailgating, I highly recommend going in to the stadium when the gates open. You can usually get down on the railing for 30 minutes or so and watch the teams warm up. I highly recommend it, especially with munchkins. The other thing I encourage is to have the kids wear the shirt or hat you want signed. That way the athletes know your child isn't a runner for autograph hounds.

-nubsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276344251743982154.post-41012155207195824172008-08-06T15:37:00.000-04:002008-08-06T15:37:00.000-04:00awsome article! calvin johnson could very well be ...awsome article! calvin johnson could very well be the best WR in NFL history when its all said and done, even better than rice.

cj is twice his size and faster, and not to mention can get his hands up 12 feet in the air.

i seriously think CJ will have 1300 yards to go along with 13 TDs.

pitt78Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276344251743982154.post-44696443296990584112008-08-06T10:31:00.000-04:002008-08-06T10:31:00.000-04:00Regarding CJ; The guy definitely IS a monster. I'm not a small guy in the least (I'm about 6'4" 230) but obviously there's a difference between an amateur athlete, and a top level one.

CJ moves with such speed and quickness that in my mind it was almost defying physics. He is fast and sharp in and out of cuts, it was one of the things that made practice a lot of fun to watch.

Another guy I think who doesn't get enough props is Furrey. The guy was hustling and busting his arse every rep of every drill. It's easy to see why the coaches and his teammates like him so much. Definitely cut from the Marinelli cloth.

Unfortunately because I'm in Chicago, I don't get a chance to watch the pre-season games, I'm still trying to find out how, but it looks like I'll just have to go without this year. Or somehow convince my parents to buy a DVD recorder over the phone and mail them to me.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words. I didn't want to spoil the good thing that DF has going here! =PAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276344251743982154.post-11710004235632373432008-08-06T09:16:00.000-04:002008-08-06T09:16:00.000-04:00Jreffy,You knocked this one out of the park. That camera couldn't have been all bad.

It was really nice to hear your comments regarding Roy's work ethic. That's the kind of thing that Mr. Kowalski can't say if he ever wants to get Roy to talk to him again. I hope for his sake that he just decided to take the day off; you'd expect more effort from someone during a contract year.

CJ looks like a monster, sheesh.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8276344251743982154.post-76042012743107646402008-08-06T08:32:00.000-04:002008-08-06T08:32:00.000-04:00Nice overview of camp and pictures. But until the hitting starts in preseason, and then see them play full speed in week-1, we won't really know what we have.JJLions20https://www.blogger.com/profile/14086949813455327048noreply@blogger.com
